THE BEST CONCERT EVER!


The best concert I was in was the WOMAD. This super concert was between February 16 and 18 in Recoleta, Santiago, Chile. This festival lasted 3 days and had many spectacular things.



All along the day, different workshops were performed: circus, poetry, afro-colombian dance, world cinemas, Andean dance, Madagascar music, vertical gardens, mural painting, song composition, etc. The atmosphere was incredible: complete families, children, seniors, men, women of all ages.




Everyone enjoyed an excellent family atmosphere to the beat of beautiful music. Best of all: three stages where artists from the entire world played music of many musical styles.  In my memory I keep some of the artists I saw:

- The excellent Chilean group “Congreso”.

- Le vent du Nord: a Canadian group, in which a woman sang with an incredibly beautiful voice.

- Vocals Sampling: this group drove me crazy! Are six Cuban men who played many songs (“Hotel california” (The eagles); “Buscando Guayaba” (Rubén blades); “Every Breathe you take (Sting); etc.) only with their voices. Each one interpreted a musical instrument only with their voice. Something really amazing!

- Bombino: a funk group from Niger, really very talented with a special energy in its music.

For me, the WOMAD festival was great. I left with an indescribable energy. It was a kind of Lollapalooza, but best of all it was ABSOLUTELY FREE! I'm waiting for the WOMAD 2019.

Point Apart: the best concert of all history is Queen at Wembley in 1986.

    I didn't hear about this concert and sounds really good, I hope to go to some of the next versions (bur it's difficult because i usually go out in February)

    I agree with the mention of Queen concert in Wembley.

    Also, if you like Vocals Sampling, I recomended a band that's called Take 6.

Hello class. I’m here again…writing for English 4, the last subject of this adventure. Well, I’d like to visit Mexico. And not only visit it. I want to live there for some time. Perhaps one or two semesters. The first reason why I want to live there, is because I want to study music. Some time ago, I didn’t like the Mexican musicians. I thinked “Wow!...one more time the life showed me I made a big mistake: before, I laughed at these songs; now, I really appreciate the voices of the singers, and their musical quality. At this moment, all was in order. But I really loved the Mexican music when I heard these two monsters of world music: Juan Gabriel and Luis Miguel hahahahahaha. Are you into social media??

Well, it’s something that can’t be ignored: social networks are so entertaining that they often consume people's lives. I have mixed opinions about social networks. A part of me hates them. I find them strange (truly, the people are strange…) I hate that people expose their lives so easily in them. For example, I always find on facebook the time a person got up, what breakfast he had, the friends he called, the places he visited, the clothes he wore, etc. And even worse is instagram. I hate that weird thing about "my story". It was one of the reasons that made me close instagram. However, I find that social networks are useful for communicating quickly. That's why my favorite social network is whatssap. I find that it’s easy to use and very useful network. It’s an instant chat that allows to communicate with people from all the world at any time, and where if people are intelligent, they can occupy with discretion. I like facebook, but I also like

MY FAVOURITE TV SERIES!

Is time to talk about Slam Dunk. This is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue about a basketball team from Shohoku High School. It was serialized from 1990 to 1996. It was adapted into an anime series by Toei Animation. I always have practiced sports, and I loved the realism with which life happens in this series. For example, teammates fight each other in games; some players are injured and must be replaced; sometimes the matches are about to be lost, but they go back at the last minute; and a series of things that really happens in sports of this kind. The protagonist is Hanamichi Sakuragi, and he has a very special personality. He is a beginner in this sport, but he is convinced that he is the most talented player in the world. As the story progresses, Hanamichi learns many lessons for his life. There is a very special scene in which Mitsui - the former No. 1 player in Japan - is turned into a delinquent and returns to the
